Canadian Compensation Survey

Focus of the survey
The Canadian compensation survey is designed for the use and benefit of members of Family Service Ontario, Family Service Canada and Children's Mental Health Ontario. Every other year, member agencies are invited to participate in the online survey. One hundred twenty-one (121) human service agencies participated in the 2006 survey.

The published report
The report provides a breakdown of employee position salaries by budget size, staffing levels, education, and membership affiliation. Organizational and benefit information (health and insurance plans, retirement plans, and paid leave) are also detailed in the report. A special section in the report details CEO benefits. Finally, in addition to providing descriptive information for the survey year, survey-to-survey trends are identified in the report.
